We apologise for the delay.

Hullo, out there my faithful readers. I apologise for the delay, but I'm afraid I've been a bit busy this week....alright I can't really type that without feeling guilty. Okay, I've basically been procrastinating and putting this off. Don't really know why, but here is the stuff that has happened in the last two weeks.

Right firstly, last weekend I spent the weekend with Emma and co. again, only this time I was taken on the tour of Central Otago, a.k.a Lord of the Rings country. I was rendered speechless at the beauty of the place...you would not believe some of the scenery there, its very easy to see why Jackson chose it for his movie. Anyway, that was how I spent that weekend, photos will follow for those unable to view them on Facebook.com.

Anyway, for the rest of the week nothing much interesting happened, apart from recieving a nice letter from Grandma, however on Thursday, I started working for Property Services. Getting up at 5:45 in the morning is not a very easy feat I'll have you know. First day of work nothing really happened, on account of it raining...very, very, very hard. So I sorted some of the paper work that needed doing, i.e. my ID card and mug-shot, and getting to know the rest of the team; really great bunch, very pleasant to work with. Anyway, on Friday, things were a bit more active: I was taken out on liter pick up first thing. Then I was taken out on the route that I would be taking over in the near future when it's previous inhabitant goes on leave. And then I was taken out on another route to empty the ash trays...by far the most unpleasant task so far. Anyway, that was pretty much what happened, and so far it has proved to be quite enjoyable.

Anyway this wekend was quite active. On Saturday I had quite a bit of fun cleaning the patio with the water blaster; so much fun...believe me, it was very theraputic, and a DVD from home arrived, containing some of the TV shows I miss so much (Being Human and Mock the Week). Sunday came around, we went to a home show. Kind of like the university education fairs I've been to in the past, except for house appliances. I was quite impressed by it, however Claire and John told me that its not as good as it has been due to the recession.

Anyway, that's pretty much it, you are now up to date on everything that has happened to me since my last blog update. Things should get pretty interesting from here on out, considering that the students have now returned, and considering that Orientation Week starts on Monday.

See you all next week, (I promise) possibly with interesting news (no promises).

Laters,

Alex.
